1. Place your feet shoulder-width apart in front of the machine.
2. Grab the handles with your hands slightly bent and above your head.
3. Then, as if you were cross-country skiing, pull the handles down in front of you while bending your knees and pushing your hips back.
4. Pull the cables down and back until your hands are by your thighs and your arms are parallel to your body.
5. Straighten your arm as much as possible.
6. As you lift to your tiptoes, reverse the movement to bring your arms back up to the starting position.
7. Pull back down immediately, lowering your heels to the ground, and repeat this movement pattern.
Remember to avoid holding the end straight-arm position for too long before reversing the movement. Because if you wait for too long, the flywheel resistance will decrease. However, It will take some trial and error to "find your rhythm," just as it does when using a rowing machine.
One of the most significant advantages of the machine is that it provides an intense yet low-impact cardio workout. It's especially beneficial for people who have lower-body injuries and find themselves unable to do cardio. It turns out to be advantageous for both cardio and strength. This machine raises your heart rate while focusing on the upper body, which is unique.
The majority of cardio machines focus on the lower body. Treadmills, stair climbers, and elliptical machines, for example, focus on your legs and hips. Even the rower is composed of 60 to 70% lower body. The Ski machine, on the other hand, is the only machine that focuses on upper-body cardio.
Ski machines necessitate arm and leg movement at the same time. This has the potential to increase caloric expenditure while also toning the leg, gluteal, and upper body muscles. If you are short on time, the ski machine provides both anaerobic and muscle toning workouts in a single session.
FitHome, Kinomap, and Zwift are a few applications that enable users/athletes to track and analyze their performance.
